It is crazy to think when I talk about my children I say ‘well, my oldest’… ahhh. Karsen is getting SOOOO big and talks like an adult. This kid seriously knows how to make me laugh and I love how I can have conversations with him — he is about 4 months away from turning 3 (I mean the kid is still in diapers and talks like a champ). Anyway, one night last week, after his bath and all ready for bed, the light was perfect so I asked him if he could get dressed and come do a photo shoot with Mommy .. just the two of us. He was beyond excited. He walked the sidewalk for me and posed and jumped out from behind a tree. He had a blast — this is the kid that 6 months ago wanted nothing to do with my camera. Then went a lot of my attention to Kooper (3 months) so Karsen jumps at most chances to do anything with just Mommy. So this post is dedicated to my big boy, Karsen Wayne .. my K-Dub. I am beyond blessed with both my boys but Karsen will forever have a special place in my heart for being my first child. Never knew I could love anything as much as I love this kid… and his brother.. and his daddy Enjoy!!

Jacob 6 Months

Another sweet family graced my camera this past weekend. The Hartman family, another one of my ‘growing year’ babies/families, joined me downtown to photograph Mr. Jacob turning 6 months (you might remember his newborn photos!). Sweet sister Evie was also there full of giggles, as always. I could not pick my favorites so this post is a bit lengthy! Enjoy!

Kamryn 7 Months

Our neighbors, Klynt and Niki, have 2 children very close in age to my children and they all have names that start with “K” (not on purpose!). Kamryn is now 7 months old and woza those baby blues are insanely beautiful! She looks so much like her Mommy. So we did a little mini session when the light was just right and got so many gorgeous shots from her. Love you guys! Enjoy!

Hannah 6 Months

Little miss Hannah is 6 months!! Wow how times flies! You might remember her sweet newborn photos.. she was the best newborn! Hannah is one of my ‘growing year’ babies and I am so blessed to see her grow. She is chubby and wide eyed and beautiful!! I can’t say enough about this family.. constantly making me laugh and smile. Thank you Dobson crew for allowing me once again to photograph your darling little girl! See you on her birthday! Enjoy!

Gretchen + Jon

What a beautiful wedding. The weather was dicey all day but we lucked out and it didn’t rain!! The wedding was held at the Ritz Charles in Carmel. Gretchen was a stunning bride and just beaming all day. Jon was hilarious and a bit nervous I think. I had such a blast photographing this lovely April wedding and I am so blessed to call you both friends. Enjoy married life and these photos!

Spring Mini-Sessions!!

They’re BAAACCCKKK!! My mini-sessions are back! These are limited to early morning and late evening to get the perfect light for each session. They will be held at the IMA in Indianapolis… All the information you need is below!

Each session is just 30 minutes and can be up to 5 people (extra person is $10/each). This would be a fantastic Mother’s Day gift!! Space is limited to 10 slots so don’t hesitate!

Wilken Twins

You might remember these precious darlings from their newborn and 3 month shoots. Well, they are now 11 months and GORGEOUS!! They are so sweet and adorable and big sister McKenna rocked it out once again. I just love this family to pieces and can’t wait to see them again! Hope you enjoy the photos.. yet another cold day so we had to stay indoors! Hope to get outside with your guys soon. Enjoy!

Braxton – Newborn

Sweet little Braxton was 6 days new when we did his photos. I have such wonderful photo friends and they were gracious enough to let me us their studio for the shoot. I. Am. Sold. The light was divine and so even and having all the props you could imagine all in one place was amazing. Anyway, Braxton was a doll and I really enjoyed getting back into the game. I would love to take my newborn photography to a whole new level this year.

My growing year package consists of 4 sessions from maternity to one year (any combo in between) and includes a cd of images for each session and a growing year album at the end. It is a wonderful thing and as a mother, I know how fast my babies are growing and I am so blessed to be able to photograph them any time I want. You cannot replace the first precious year of a baby’s life… every milestone is worth photographing!!

Our Easter 2012

This Easter Karsen got to enjoy 2 egg hunts and even colored his own eggs for the first time. We had Easter stuff going on all weekend! We were so blessed with amazing weather – however, that led to crazy lighting situations for me. The one thing I have to get over as a photographer is for my own family, it is more important to capture the moment then to worry about making it artistic. My son is too fast for me and goes in and out of the shade without caring how that will affect my camera settings haha. And not to mention our house is a dungeon so that makes it super difficult to photograph with natural light in the morning when he opens his gifts. Anyway – the memories are here regardless and I will always appreciate having them for years to come. Enjoy.
